Not a Parker House roll to be had back in 1858 (prices are in cents, not dollars).
The New York Public Library has a collection of hotel menus dating back to the 19th century and including menus from three Boston hotels, only one of which still stands, at the corner of School and Tremont streets. Read more.

Boston firefighters responded to School Street for a large trash fire in an alley next to the Omni Parker House shortly before 10 p.m.

Police officers called to the Omni Parker House early this morning to help roust a pair of allegedly obnoxious guests wound up charging the two with a variety of offenses - including "unlawful recording," when the male member whipped out a camera and turned it on.
