Formaggio Kitchen on Huron Avenue in Cambridge announced yesterday that if you want to purchase any of its cheesy comestibles, you'll need to have a mask on.

With the news that Boston Cheese Cellar on Birch Street is closing at the end of the month, Adam Kessel has started thinking about a whey to ensure Roslindale continues to have a gouda supply of cheesy comestibles.

Kessel, who already knows something about co-ops, is hoping to have a get-together this weekend to talk about the idea of a co-op taking over from the cheese shop. If interested, drop a line to [email protected].

Since after a long night of election partying, you need a nice hearty cheese plate to get you going the next morning - and Cambridge will soon have it's own knight of cheese:

On Monday (Nov. 10), the Consul General of France in Boston will present the medal of the French Order of the “Mérite Agricole” — translation: “agricultural merit” — to (Formaggio owner) Gurdal for his passion for French fare.

Robert Aguilera, manager and cheese buyer for the Formaggio Kitchen in Cambridge has teamed up with Julie Cappellano, the wine buyer at the South End Formaggio to bring Boston, the Bueno Queso Social Club. These are monthly wine and cheese pairing classes.

The next class is titled, "From the Stiletto Heel to the Thigh Highs of Italy." and will take place on March 25th at the Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge.
