Transit Police report officers are once again looking for Jeffrey Cooper, a tall, skinny and autistic teen from East Boston who loves riding the subway.
He was last seen yesterday.
UPDATE: He was found safe, his GPS unit pinging, at the Savin Hill Red Line stop around 1:30 p.m.
The autistic teen from East Boston was last seen yesterday around 8 a.m. He's 19, 6' tall and 150 lbs., has short brown hair and wears glasses. He likes to ride the T, so might be on a train platform somewhere.
He was wearing a GPS device, but it hasn't pinged any police receivers yet.
Update, 8:50 p.m. He was spotted on a trolley at Kenmore Square by an inspector, didn't want to get off, but is now with a Transit Police officer.
Jeffrey Cooper, an East Boston teen with a love of trains, disappeared yesterday afternoon and is still missing this morning, despite wearing a LoJack bracelet designed to alert police to his presence.

Boston Police this morning are looking for Jeffrey Cooper, an autistic teen with a love of trains and the Boston Garden. Police are attempting to use a LoJack-like system that led to his safe return after he disappeared last September.
LoJack reports MBTA Transit Police used the human version of its tracking system to find an East Boston teen with a predilection for wandering away from home and school to ride the rails underneath Boston.
The company says yesterday's safe return marks the first successful use of its SafetyNet Service since it was introduced in Boston in January:

Cooper, who has wandered away before, has trouble communicating. He likes trains and the Boston Garden.

Cooper, who is autistic and has trouble communicating, "enjoys riding trains and may try to visit the South End, the Boston Garden or the Boston University areas," police say. This is the third time he's gone missing in recent months, so police know he might also be found riding the Red Line.

Boston Police report they are looking for Jeffrey Cooper, a 14-year-old autistic boy who apparently wandered away from his after-school program in Central Square in East Boston yesterday.
Police said Cooper has trouble communicating his needs. Police said he likes riding trains - he's been found riding the Red Line in Braintree and Quincy - but that he might be in the South End or near the Boston Garden.
He was last seen wearing glasses, a navy-blue sweatshirt with a Warren/Prescott patch, a black winter coat, black sneakers and a green and white Celtics hat.
