Boston Police report a carjacking near the Jackson Square T stop ended with a manhunt on Amtrak tracks and in woods along the Hyde Park/Roslindale line.
Orlando Pizzaro, 34, of Brockton, is charged with stealing an occupied car around 4:05 p.m. at Centre and Lamartine streets:
[He] approached the passenger in the car and asked for a cigarette. According to the victim, when the passenger reached into his pocket to get a cigarette, the suspect produced a firearm, pointed it at the passenger and ordered both occupants out of the car.

Boston Police report they are looking for a brown Toyota Corolla, Mass. plates 58K E18, stolen this morning at 628 Washington St., by somebody who punched the driver in the face, then took off.

Richard Morse, 49, of Auburn, pleaded guilty yesterday to a variety of charges related to a failed attempt to steal the woman's car on Province Street in Boston on Nov. 2, 2009, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Morse was then sentenced to 10 years in state prison. The DA's office provided this account:
