The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters and Transit and Boston police officers worked to free a woman who somehow wound up trapped under a trolley at BU Central around 11:40 p.m. on Friday. NBC Boston reports the woman suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive; adds officials did not say how she got under the trolley but that it does not appear to be due to an fault by either a T worker or the trolley.

A medical assistant at the MGH Back Bay Health Center, 388 Commonwealth Ave., who was arrested last week on a charge he raped a patient in an exam room was arrested again today for sexually attacking another patient earlier in the month. Read more.

A medical assistant at the MGH Back Bay Health Center, 388 Commonwealth Ave., was arrested yesterday after allegedly raping a patient whom he first told to undress for a test allegedly ordered by a doctor, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports. Read more.

MassLive.com reports on the verdict in the case of Owen Turner, who was at the controls of a Green Line trolley that slammed into a stopped trolley near Agganis Arena on July 30, 2021. Turner had been charged with criminal negligence.

Papa Wheelies Back Bay, which had been selling bicycles at 362 Comm. Ave., at Mass. Ave. since 1992, initially as Back Bay Bicycles, closed last month. Its Wellesley and Portsmouth, NH locations remain open.

The Boston Licensing Board today unanimously approved a request from El Jefe's Taqueria to remain open until 3 a.m. at its outlet on Commonwealth Avenue near the Agganis Arena. Read more.

The MBTA reports it's rolled out some shuttle buses to get riders between BC and Washington Street on the B Line because of a deceased trolley at South Street.

Possible next steps in BU expansion

Possible BU expansion sites in green, including decks over the turnpike.

Boston University recently filed a 10-year, $1-billion "institutional master plan" that calls for a new research building, possibly up to 16 stories, and a new premium student dorm, along with an expansion of solar panels across the campus and a major rehab of the Warren Towers dorms on Commonwealth Avenue. Mansplainers on the move

Nancy shows us the 100 or so men who started marching down Comm. Ave. at the Allston Planned Parenthood to mansplain about a medical procedure none of them will ever need. The Million Thousand Hundred Mansplainer march against abortion was supposed to end up at the State House, but would anybody be surprised if most of them exhausted themselves mansplaining long before they got there?

Wanted van

Oops: BPD reports van, child and woman found and it was all a misunderstanding - no kidnapping.

BPD has put out an APB for this gray van with a white top in connection with a possible kidnapping at 700 Commonwealth Ave. - Boston University's Warren Towers. It's a Mercedes van with several stickers, one an oval, on the back, and possibly non-Massachusetts license plates. Read more.

The Daily Free Press reports a woman was stabbed at the College of Fine Arts, 855 Commonwealth Ave. Thursday night. Injuries not considered life threatening.

The Daily Free Press reports unionized workers at the Starbucks at 874 Commonwealth Ave. walk a picket line 24 hours a day, in part to foil management from having unionized truck drivers making deliveries at random times - the drivers have said they won't cross picket lines.

The Back Bay Sun reports the chi-chi 'Quin House, which replaced the doddering old Algonquin Club, gently laid out its plans before the Neighborhood Association of the Back Bay. Of course, it would install monitors to make sure the sound didn't disturb the neighbors and it vowed it would never ever add a gauche TV up there and heavens, no, it would never try something as outré as live music.

Car on Green Line tracks on Commonwealth Avenue at Chestnut Hill Avenue

Ari Ofsevit spotted a car on the B Line tracks and the driver who put it there, on Commonwealth Avenue outbound, just past Chestnut Hill Avenue, tonight.

The MBTA said today the B Line will be shut between BC and Kenmore starting Monday "to conduct much needed track upgrades while also installing Green Line Train Protection System equipment across the system."

Shuttle buses will replace trolleys through July 1, the T says. Read more.
