A man ran into Boston Police headquarters on Tremont Street in Roxbury around 11:30 p.m. with gunshot wounds to the groin and arm. Officers on duty at the station heard the gunfire and then discovered the headquarters building itself had also been hit - both in the front and on the Ruggles Street side. Read more.

Two men were ordered held without bail today at their arraignment on charges they murdered Alexander Mervin on Whittier Street on Jan. 11. Read more.

UPDATE: Boston Police identify the victim as Alexander Mervin, 22, of Revere.

Boston Police report a man in his early 20s was fatally shot at 31 Whittier St. around 1:45 p.m.

He is Boston's first murder victim this year.

Boston Police report arresting a local man and a Quincy man on charges they shot two other people at 25 Whittier St. around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday. Read more.

The Bay State Banner reports on the proposal, by the BHA, Preservation of Affordable Housing and Madison Park Development Corp. to raze the current 200-unit project off Tremont Street in Roxbury and replace it with 210 low-income apartments, 136 affordable units and 81 to be rented at market rates.
