Au Bon Pain (the current vendor for the Milk Bottle) is selling Hood eggnog at their BCM location. The Milk Bottle itself is not winterized and is closed for the season.

or is Hood Egg Nog the best available around here? I never mess with the Sugar Cookie or the Pumpkin flavors, I just stick to the regular kind or the light and it rocks!

I tried Garelick Farms brand this year and a couple of the organic ones. I even tried one in a glass bottle, but none of them had the rich flavor and thickness of the Hood brand, something I've been enjoying since I was a kid.

Anyone else think so?

Hood is the best- or maybe just because that was what my mom bought for egg nog and it stuck with me. Garelick Farms is Ok but I like the Hood Egg Nog better.

Off topic- tried two of the Starbucks seasonal coffee drinks recently - the eggnog one and the peppermint coffee slurpees or whatever- not impressed.

Mixes smoother with alcohol than dairy eggnog, most dairy drinkers say it tastes pretty much the same, and it doesn't give you the gross digestive issues afterward that you get from downing that much saturated fat and dairy.

All I eat. Down a liter of milk a day at least. Good for you. And no gastro problems at all.

We got so much food in America we're allergic to food. Allergic to food! Hungry people ain't allergic to sh*t. You think anyone in Rwanda's got a *&*&^%* lactose intolerance?!

My dad, too (who grew up on a farm with actual cows, no less). I hope you have a good stock of air freshners, plungers, and ways to clean up vomit. The output of unmodified milk isn't pretty.

Lactose intolerance is real. Lactose tolerance is the exception, conveyed by a dominant gene for lactase production found in areas where dairying is a major source of nutrition. Like, 20% of the world's population. It isn't an allergy and people cannot be trained out of it in any way.

Was just kidding. Got two nieces and nephews who can't touch the stuff.

Some people really don't react that much to it, but others find that they're just used to feeling crummy, and when they go off of dairy for a few months they feel a lot better.

Howeva, I haven't seen an egg nog flavor of the creamer yet......so far only hazelnut and vanilla (both naturally flavored). Both DAMN good
