Linehan to face opposition this fall

Suzanne LeeSuzanne Lee, former principal at the Josiah Quincy School, said today she's running for the District 2 council seat held by Bill Linehan:
I've dedicated my entire adult life to making things better for the community, by bringing people together to solve problems. As City Councilor I aim to bring my passion for activism, my commitment to public education, and my ability to solve problems to make Boston a place where all working families can have affordable housing, decent jobs, and thriving neighborhoods.
Earlier this year, Lee helped organize an effort to restore a branch library to Chinatown.
The daughter of immigrants, Lee grew up in Grove Hall, went to Girl's Latin (now Boston Latin Academy) and became the first person in her family to attend college. She spent 35 years as an educator in the Boston school system.
Lee said she's already raised $24,000 for her bid to unseat Linehan for the right to represent South Boston, the South End and Chinatown.

Suzzanne Lee spent her life fighting for what community she lived in Brookline until this past year does she know that Brookline is not part of Boston. She works for the Boston public Schools and lived in brookline that really shows she concerned about BOSTON!!
Mike Mcgee City Hall
City Hall is Broken this community needs a counselor who will challenge City Hall, and fight to deliver services to our community... Mike Mcgee is certainly the most qualified for this seat..... It started at BC High Trinty then New England School of Law he is much more qualified than Bill Linehan and Susan Lee.. Its time its time to send Mike Mcgee to City Hall and rid South Boston of the Linehan/Menino machine... Lets Help Mike get elected and do what he really is passionate about doing and that is helping people.. Mike is really a tremendous person he is up for coach of the year for South Boston Pop Warner....... Its time, It is time for Mike Mcgee he is a gentleman to a fault.

Word on the Street
I've been hearing around town that Team McGee is gearing up for 2011 slugfest. The team has just completed a community service project touting their Golden Boy as point man. I'm very excited about this prospect and look forward to Mike McGee taking on and taking down Bill Linehan and corruption at City Hall. I will post any further developments. McGee for Council!

"Gentleman to a fault" is a rarity. I'm for a changing of the guard. Good luck! Linehan riding the wave too long. And by the way never suggest dumping hazardous materials into the harbor. Bad idea.

so you say...because he went to BC HIGH and NE School of Law makes him more qualified? so if i went to boston latin and harvard law, that makes me a qualified candidate too? and if i won humanitarian of the year award that make me qualified to provide day to day city services to people? and btw...it's "councilor"

Although I'm a big fan of Mike McGee, I don't necessirly subscribe to the belief that a Candidate (for any office) has to have the best "Formal Education" to be an effective Civil Servant. Why are we talking about this anyway? Mike McGee isn't running for City Council!
