..meh... honestly, I think we're better off with the downturn having put the brakes on a lot of these projects. Although it would be nice to have people employed in the trades building something, it's not nice to have them building crap that ruins a neighborhood. We all want to see development and many people have fears about change and given Boston's trackrecord in the past century, I think we can say justified fears. Waterfront development that is basically walling off the community from the waterfront with million dollar condos is not what's wanted by many of the people who live there now, but that makes the most market sense.
Ultimately all this waterfront development seems a bit shortsighted given the sea level predictions, increasing storm intensity and such. I'll stay on the hill thanks.
