Awesome photo.
The skies were clear right over Waltham last night as the local fireworks show was approaching, but there was a cloud with many violent cloud-to-cloud lighting bolts making its way from the north to the east. I'm guessing this is the storm that interrupted the Pops concert. At times it was hard to separate the lightning bolts from reflections of distant fireworks shows.
The Waltham fireworks started 15 minutes early, I'm guessing because of the weather.
