Wasn't there a running gag in one of the Three Stooges shorts from the 30's where the boys were constantly colliding with an unfortunate soul exiting a bar with a series of full metal growlers strung out along two poles? Or am I thinking of some other short subject with Laurel & Hardy or Buster Keaton?
