Election roundup: With month left, third of voters still throw hands up and go 'who ARE these people?'

A Globe poll finds Connolly and Walsh virtually tied, with more than a third of voters still professing no clue whom to vote for.

Move over Brother Charles and Tito "No, not that one" Jackson - DJ Robby Rob is in the house:

The Dorchester Reporter surveys mayoral candidates on public safety issues.

Marty Walsh wants to paint Boston cabs the same color to make them more noticeable to help women avoid getting raped by drivers of brand-X cabs.

I will do whatever it takes to limit predators' opportunities to commit violent acts against women via the taxi system, or any other means. We owe it to the women of Boston and all residents to address this issue. It can't wait any longer.

Ed. question: Didn't that that guy whose name no longer gets mentioned now that he's been suspended as hackney god thanks to those meanies at the Globe get all the licensed cabs in Boston painted white?

John Barros posted a video about education.

Charlotte Golar Richie will march in the Caribbean parade on Saturday with Cecile de Jongh, wife of the governor of the US Virgin Islands. Richie herself has Bajan ancestry.

David Bernstein chats with at-large Council candidate Chris Conroy.

Specimen Ballots are out and available by request. City of Boston Board of Election Commissioners didn't post online the Specimen Ballots, another example of how the Board of Election Commissioners could make better, more clear information available for voting. Let the Mayor's Office know if you are interested in filling the vacancy on the Board of Election Commissioners http://www.cityofboston.gov/boardsandcommissions/e...

BREAKING: Douglas Bennett's name not on City ballot!

Doesn't make sense, does it, what with the plethora of signs erected all over Boston by this candidate?

Bennett is running in the special election for Suffolk Sheriff, which isn't until September 2014. He's just getting an early start.

BB, you missed my point, which is exactly as you say: That election is a year away.

Consalvo is the Man! Who knew? He continues to impress!

He came across as a the clear leader. I went into the evening undecided and am now a Barros supporter.

So what happens in a few months when the zombies shuffle to the polls, notice Menino for some reason isn't on their ballot, write in his name to cover their asses, and unexpectedly create an additional term for King Tom?

Are all tainted now. Unfortunately most people don't know or care about this - but for those of us who truly care about education in this city it's now a three-way race between Consalvo, Richie, and Arroyo.

Arroyo is the only one to state that he supports a return of happy hours.

I'll buy him a drink at the first one we get.

All those years going to SSC, SPC and BPS meetings, wasted because I don't support Consalvo, Richie or Arroyo. Damn it, I really thought I cared about the schools in Boston but it turns out I was just a right wing stooge all along.

Thanks for clearing that up anon. It must be hard making your way in the world weighed down with all your knowledge that the rest of us don't know or care about.
