ABC to film in the North End, Beacon Hill for Boston-based series that doesn't involve mobsters or drunken bros

I know, get out! NorthEndWaterfront.com reports ABC Family plans to film along Hanover Street starting next week for "establishing shots" for "Chasing Life," a series about "April, an ambitious young journalist" struggling to make her way in the world when she gets diagnosed with cancer.
Eleana Gudema reports she got a similar notice at her apartment on Charles Street.

oh god.
ABC has resorted to pulling
ABC has resorted to pulling balls out of a cage. "Boston" "journalism" "cancer" run with it!
The manatees must be on loan from Family Guy
You see? The manatees get idea balls and put them together and that's how we get new episodes!

To be fair
there's only a handful of name cities where it's plausible to have House-esque medical scenes in cutting edge hospitals.
You know it's called "April
You know it's called "April Showers" too. #MBTA
Good thing this is a TV show
I'd hate the headlines if it won a Gold Award at Cannes or a Golden Globe ;-)
As an ambitious, young journalist
I can say without fear of contradiction that we don't live in the North End. If we're lucky we have help from our parents and share an apartment with Craigslist strangers in the worse parts of Somerville or Allston. If we're unlucky we share a room with one or more Craigslist strangers in the worse parts of Roxbury or Dorchester.
I, for one, am looking
I, for one, am looking forward to the reboot of the later seasons of Sabrina the Teenage Witch... with cancer.
cancer
These types of projects are the true cancer. They come and steal our city's grand visage and then film the majority in Vancouver.
Absolutely disgusting.
Literal filth.
Wow that was very dramatic
Wow that was very dramatic
Seriously
Literal filth?
This has been going on since the advent of TV. Do you think All in the Family was filmed in Queens (I believe that's where the Bunkers lived)? No, it was shot on a sound stage.
Might clean up the literal filth
for filming - the dog and human turds regularly plaguing the area.
How about a drama series
How about a drama series revolving around MBTA employees?
Drama?
How much drama do you get out of someone snoozing behind a desk?
Hanky-Panky
Don't forget the sex (T inspector & prostitute story from last week)!
More like
"Leslie Nielsen in...Transit Squad!"
and somehow she lives in a giant apartment
in the north end, on an entry-level journalist "salary."
To elaborate on my previous
To elaborate on my previous comment, Melissa Joan Hart's character on the later seasons of that Sabrina show was a journalist out of college that lived on Newbury.
I mean, we can go back to how the entire cast of Cheers drove to Beacon Hill every day.
Darn!
Darn!
I was hoping for Law & Order: Citizens Connect Unit!
Yes!
What an unbelievable show that would be, as detectives spend their days writing tickets for early trash dropoffs, or people parking without resident stickers. True can't-miss television.

Detective 1: *updates webpage* Looks like we've got another air conditioner in the South End
Dectective 2: This city. Why can't people respect our historic neighborhoods and not install incongruous appliances? WHY?!
