WBZ reports police say a man who showed up at the Boston Medical Center helipad on Saturday wearing armor and packing a gun isn't a terrorist, just troubled and that he is now under psychiatric observation.
Reading the article and understanding the level of protection/firepower he possessed the day before the marathon, makes me think he wasn't troubled as much as hes got a friend (or a father) in high places.
Not that he had trouble buying it, but why he was referred to as an isolated incident and unrelated to terrorism. Yes, you can purchase goods on the internet. What a modern era we must live in.
Why don't you read up on the 1968 Gun Control Act. Since 1968 any firearm mail ordered has to be shipped directly to a federally licensed dealer who then does the required federal checks before transferring the delivery to the buyer in person.
Body armor purchases aren't regulated. Wearing it while committing a crime on the other hand is a significant upcharge in many jurisdictions.

Anybody know the video game Counter Strike: Global Offensive?
This stuff reminds me of that game...
