The canals of Boston

Canal-like street in Boston as snow melts

Zinnia shows us some streets are looking like canals with all the melting snow, such as Bolton Street in South Boston.

Shovel it out and put a sign on it: "This Storm Drain Shoveled By ..."

She really captured the low country light here, though. Very nice!

I was expecting some actual water.

(Edit: Spelling Error - Because all arguments go out the window with such)

When I saw the word world, I was expecting the world.

Seriously, great pic!

And all we got was a lousy photograph

But its like a picture of Venice looking at a wet spot on the sidewalk.

We've been so lucky this year. We had several inches of water just waiting to melt. Usually, the way that Boston works is that there's a ton of snow to melt, and then it's 60 and rains three inches, and everything floods, and it's terrible, and the streets are lakes, and it's horrible.

This year it's been 40 and sunny and we've melted feet of snow with little more than a trickle. It's pretty fantastic, actually. In 1996 we got a ton of snow, and then four days later it was 60ยบ and pouring rain, and we had slush and lake-sized puddles and flooding. In January. It might hit 60 for the first time in 2015 this week. In April.

Is the land of hashtags. Wowser
