Police Districts/Precincts? Council Districts/Wards/Precincts ?
How do Police Districts/Precincts relate to Boston City Council Districts/Wards/Precincts ?...
They don't.
They don't.
Well, except maybe for D-14, which overlaps pretty much with Mark Ciommo's council seat.
I saw this same car on a
I saw this same car on a flatbed truck parked over by Somerville MarketBasket this weekend. I figured it was for a movie or something. Good to know what it is being used in. Thanks for the info.

BPD hasn't been organized
BPD hasn't been organized like that in a very long time. Each current "district" consolidated many old "divisions" decades ago.

Someone didn't do their homework
Boston Police cruisers did not have that lettering on the cruisers during that time. Do your homework if your going to show a BPD cruiser marked vehicle.
You can't see it in this
You can't see it in this photo (there have been others posted online recently) and the lettering isn't the only inaccuracy. The lightbars they put on top of these cars were slightly out of period and never used by Boston PD (used by the Mets though).
But then, it may not be unintentional to not have an exact replica, for more modern settings, I've never seen an exact current Boston Police cruiser used by a film crew.

I can almost hear the pseudo-funk theme music
with a primitive synth line and horns for emphasis.
Chases are always groovy when that car's involved.
