Teddy Kokoros couldn't help but notice this fallen tree between Cheers and the Common this morning.

Damn ents and their moots!

Same location Hurricane Irene
I haven't figured out if it is the same tree pit. August 28th 2011.
How do we know
whether that tree was a True Beacon Hill tree and not a tree dragged in from another section of the city and strewn across a BH brick sidewalk?
And even worse...
...just look at that root ball. It doesn't match the aesthetic characteristic of the neighborhood AT ALL. The neighborhood association is going to have a few choice words to say about this.
They do not appear to be
Brahmin roots.....
Picky, picky
But if that's across from Cheers (and it looks like that block) - it's between Cheers and the Public Garden, not the Common.
Common mistake!
Marty will blame the Parks
Marty will blame the Parks Commissioner for this planting failure, ask them to resign, and appoint some buddy whose only experience with greenery is Chia Pets.
