How the cute coyote got there in the first place? Do they swim? Are they avid sailors? Were they air dropped? Have they mastered teleportation?

He ran off a cliff and got as far as Thompson Island before he looked down and realized he was running in mid-air. After falling down onto Thompson, he later swam over to Spectacle.

They swim if necessary, they do what they have to, in an attempt to survive, as any living thing would do. It is not an easy life for them, nothing cute about it.
