Pre-Easter anger in Watertown turns into shoving match with a mall Easter bunny

Watertown News reports on an April 14 incident at the Watertown Mall in which a father dissatisfied with the quality of a photo with his kids and the Easter bunny turned into a shoving match that ended when the bunny's chair broke and he plummeted to the ground.

just before Easter. But, in the larger scheme of things, it's still a fairly recent development (none of my nieces or nephews - all of whom are now in their early to mid 20s - even went to the mall to see the Easter Bunny).

And I maintain there's something basically wrong with putting the Easter Bunny on the same level as Santa Claus. When we were kids, you didn't ask the Easter Bunny to send you what you wanted, because you KNEW what you would get - a basket with candy and eggs.

and grew up close enough to that very mall that i remember going to a certain restaurant with talking heads near it

i mean its not very relevant, im not trying to 'gotcha' or anything, this stuff has just been around a long time- google image search confirms that, often to hilarious results, btw

i would assume that if anything, attendance to any sort of mall related bunny or fat guy in a suit event would be considerably lower now than in the past, right?

I'm wicked old & I visited the EB at the South Shore Plaza when I was a kid in the late 60s/early 70s.
(This was before it was even an indoor mall!)

I'm 35 and have several childhood mall Easter bunny pictures as well. Unlike the lists of Santa pictures, however, none of mine are featured in these types of galleries.

I remember seeing the Easter Bunny in malls a lot when I was a little kid. I'm 35 years old. This is not new.

Don't worry, both malls and religion are quickly dying off.

Once the malls die off you will have a Uber-like app to schedule a Santa or Easter Bunny to come to your home.
