Campbell to face opposition for District 4 city-council seat

Jeff Durham of Codman Square says he's been certified for a spot on the fall ballot for the District 4 (Dorchester and Mattapan with small parts of Jamaica Plain and Roslindale) seat now held by City Council President Andrea Campbell.
Durham, 44, says if elected, he would concentrate on delivering basic services to a district with some of the poorest areas in the city. He accused Campbell of being "an elitist whose focus is with the downtown power structure and the outside-of-the-district donors who have funded her incumbency."
Durham, who grew up in Roxbury and went to Boston public schools, runs an entertainment consulting concern.

Another example... the Councilor failed to advocate for a better Redistricting Map more clearly delineating the Names of Border Streets between adjacent neighboring Districts for folks nearby Border Streets, for all folks. A Map with all names of all streets fails to distinguish Names of Border Streets.
New, knowledgeable more up to date Staff for technology/software at Boston City Council can improve communities' civic engagement.

That's right, out of town campaign donations,lots of talk, lots nothing. Ignored displaced tenants, has not time for families harassed by realtor lawyers, interested in" friends of the city", her staff is NASTY to constituents.I have seen elderly in her district walking in traffic on River St cause nobody enforces snowshoveling. There are pimps trolling on River St by Lower Mills, while Andrea at MFA talking about herself, art ( lol, a lawyer talking about art) and posing for another photo. Waste of privilege by the history making blah, blah, blah

Competition is good
If Campbell isn't serving the community she was elected to serve then it's good she face a competitive race.
I checked out Durham's website and read his SUMMARY of the issues. I like his perspective. Especially on community policing. He could definitely go into more details on all the issues however.
