Oh, hey, look at that abandoned Green Line tunnel heading south.
Vanshnookeragen has updated his detailed MBTA track map - which shows not just Boston-area train routes on a geographically accurate map, but details of station platforms and abandoned tracks - to include the Green Line Extension. You can download a PDF or buy a large print suitable for framing.

At first glance it appears to be a weird combination of the NYC MTA and the periodic table of the elements.

So it's not just me. Good. I got as far as trying to figure out what element Oc was before I read the explanation.
If he's gonna rip off NYC: might as well show the T's concourses

The nearly dead mall concourse at DTX. The lifesaver tunnel at State, the one block gap separating riders from walking between Red and Blue at State / DTX, etc.
Other way around ...

He started up here, drawing all sorts of T maps, before moving to NYC.

The linked pdf and website are not secure according to Chrome. And perhaps not coincidentally my anti virus program prevented an attempted malicious intrusion 3 times in one minute shortly after I visited the site. For a variety of reasons, I believe the intrusion may have come from the linked site, not any other source.
Be forewarned.
The site not being "secure"

The site not being "secure" only affects whether your ISP can spy on or tamper with the connection. A "secure site" can still deliver malware.
(AV software is also notorious for false positives, since how else will you feel like you got your money's worth?)

The portal under Eliot Norton
By anon
Wed, 11/06/2019 - 10:06am
The portal under Eliot Norton Park needs to be reactivated and the Silver Line to Dudley Square should be converted to a Green Line Branch like it used to be under the 1960s. The branch could then be extended down the length of Blue Hill Ave (maybe even elevate it on a modern concrete structure at some points where it is tight) and hook up with the Mattapan Line.
A spur over to South Station through that portal could go down Broadway in South Boston for a North/South Rail Link that would also help alleviate traffic from all the Southie condos.
That is exactly what was originally proposed

as a replacement for the Washington Street elevated. In short, the light rail plan was scrapped in favor of the current BRT (Barely Rapid Transit) system when some activists complained that light rail tracks were an unacceptable barrier that would unfairly divide the neighborhood.
This is why the Silver Line is often dubbed the "Silver Lie".

Love his maps, but Van if you're reading this, one typo stood out to me: it's Lansdowne, not Landsdown.
(also, I seem to recall they're rebranding Lowell St to Magoun Sq? Or maybe just Magoun? I could be wrong though)

That's definitely Route 1A running next to the airport, not Route 1.

If added, it would highlight how horrible the Silver Line system is.

The Grand Junction now ties in to the southernmost Fitchburg Track, and I believe the rest of that crossover and associated trackage has been eliminated.
