Roving UHub photographer Mary Ellen spotted this beaver giving her the eye as he or she swam in the Charles at Millennium Park this morning, near a big beaver house where Sawmill Brook empties into the river.
Mary Ellen is almost certainly a 'she'. I am surprised that she was swimming with a camera though.
I have one, and (when I remember it) it's really a lot of fun to use. Doesn't take the crisp pictures you can get with a DSLR, but it does a perfectly serviceable job.
Not only can you take underwater and on the water pictures, they make great travel cameras because they do well in low light - no flash situations, places like cathedrals and caves, etc.
