we're losing population; we should *welcome* immigrants
On the same Globe front page as this story is yet another article about how Boston and surrounding towns are losing population.
Which means that Gov. Romney's action is exactly the opposite of what the state needs. We should do everything we can to welcome immigrants, 'legal' or not, and should break off all cooperation between state and local governments and the federal immigration service.
