The City that Always Sleeps now down to a single 24/7 restaurant
By adamg on Wed, 04/01/2020 - 5:11pm
Sol Sidell's South Street Diner is continuing to sling hash and brew coffee around the clock even as Boston's other 24/7 eatery, the Brighton IHOP, has cut its hours to just 7 a.m to 11 p.m. because of current conditions.
"Yes, takeout or UberEats 24/7," the diner reported exuberantly today.
Also still open around the clock, although not a restaurant: Bova's Bakery in the North End.

Good Article
Sorry for posting the Globe's smear on here Adam, but this article was pretty good: https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/02/18/lifestyle/i-spent-night-citys-onl...
Yes, it was
I found out about the diner's new last-one-standing status when it responded to a tweet I'd done back then complimenting the article EXCEPT for the fact that it claimed the diner was the only 24/7 restaurant in Boston, when at the time it wasn't.
For a place that specializes
For a place that specializes in breakfast, 7am seems a little *late* to be opening for the day.
Au Bon Pain at Tufts Medical Center
has long advertised itself as being open 24 hours. When we had Arisia 2019 at the Park Plaza Hotel and compiled a list of late-night eateries for convention-goers, we included it. It is still listed today, along with a couple of other hospital locations that I think only now changed to 24-hour service.
Of course, nobody should now go anywhere near a hospital if they don't absolutely have to.
