Boston University students protest alleged sexual assaults at frat

Protesting sexual assault on BU Beach

As BU parents and students sat inside a fence-off area for a parent's weekend "Terrier Tailgate" barbecue this evening, some BU students stood just outside protesting sexual assaults at BU-affiliated fraternities, one in particular.

The protest, organized by the College of Arts and Sciences student government, was scheduled to re-assemble at Nickerson Field to walk to Kappa Sigma on Chester Street in Allston's GAP area. By 9:30 p.m., about three dozens people were protesting outside the fraternity.

Few people at the barbecue, on BU Beach behind Marsh Chapel, seemed aware of the protest, which was largely drowned out by music by a BU marching band playing as part of the barbecue.
