Boston cop smashed furniture, windows, then grabbed partner by the face and threatened to burn house down - with partner in it - DA says
Correction: Officer's gender corrected in story.
A Boston police officer was released on $500 bail at his arraignment today on domestic-violence charges, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Roselyn Lacroix, 46, who has been a BPD officer since 2006, was charged with assault and battery on a family or household member and making threats at his arraignment in Dorchester Municipal Court, the DA's office reports.
[Assistant DA Brandon] DeAvilla said that at about 2:40 a.m. on Sunday, Boston police responded to a home in Dorchester and were told by the victim that she had awoken to the sound of Lacroix breaking furniture. Officers noted two broken tables, broken windows, and broken glass decorations in the dining room area of the house. The victim told officers that Lacroix then walked up the stairs, broke down the door of a bedroom, grabbed the victim by the face and said, āIām going to burn this house down with you in it.ā
In addition to bail, Lacroix was ordered to stay away from the victim and the house and that he submit to random alcohol screening while his case is pending. He is next scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Nov. 25, the DA's office reports.
BPD suspended Lacroix and launched an internal investigation following her arrest.
Innocent, etc.

You still have both 2 and 3 graphs from the end.
You also left out the part about how the officer will be cleared and quietly restored to their previous position with back pay.

What confuses me
Why does it even matter?
Sad but common
Was disappointed during a lot of the police reform protests that nobody was really focusing on the disproportionate amount of domestic violence cops commit. DV victims are canaries in the coalmine.
In the parlance of our time
Shouldn't this be referred to as an "officer-involved" reign of domestic terrorism?
You know calling EVERYTHING
Terrorism, diminishes the severity of the word. See "Racism", it has very little meaning in 2022.
Really? You have trouble understanding
what "racism" means this year?
$500 Bail?
No need to call on Mass Bail Fund for this one.
Indeed no
His buddies will put out a collection box next to the donuts and he'll be out by afternoon.
Good news
Hayden can be bought for a single Benjamin, far less than the bail.
