Brookline Police report arresting a history teacher at the Heath School on charges he raped a girl some 18 times over two years, starting when she was 12.
Larry Chen, 36, of Newton was arrested last night on 18 counts each of aggravated statutory rape, rape of a child under 16 and indecent assault and battery on a person under 14, police say.
The victim was twelve years old when the first incident occurred, and the majority of crimes are alleged to have happened in a classroom at the Heath School in Brookline.
Police say the incidents started in 2016 and continued through mid-2018 - when Chen resigned as a teacher. Chen also runs a tutoring program called School Beyond School Tutoring, LLC, police say. His LinkedIn page also says he is an administrator at an MIT-based summer camp.
Police say they began an investigation last month when somebody contacted them about the alleged incidents.
