Early morning fire displaces 19 on Meridian Street in East Boston

The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 366 Meridian St. for a fire at 12:30 a.m.

The department reports 19 residents were displaced, but none injured, by the fire on the second and third floors.

The MBTA sent a bus for residents to stay in until the Red Cross could help all find new lodging for the night.
