Citizen complaint of the day: Chopper clown racing around Mass General all day

A fed-up citizen files a 311 complaint about a motorcycle madman in the area of Massachusetts General Hospital:

There is a guy on a motorcycle driving circles around MGH/cambridge st area all day constantly revving his engine, and it is extremely bothersome to the whole community and hundreds of patients. He has done this before and has been going non stop for literally 5 hours now.

Not 311.

Git to da chopahhhhhhh!!!!

No, a 911 call would be "a guy on a chopper is chopping people up", not "a guy on a chopper is an asshole".

I don't make the rules.

the best choppers are the ones blaring straight-up 500W of pure treble. Just nothing but high hat and singing voices along with the brbrbrbrbrRRBRBRBRRRBRBRBRBRBRBARAPPRPARPPAPRPRAPPRAPRPARPAPRPRPRPAPRPRPRPARPARPRPRPRPRPRPRPRPRPRPRPARPRPAPRAPRPAPRRAPPPRRR

think Sunday we had a dude circling Malcolm X Park playing all the best hits of Boyz II Men, just no bass, all treble and exhaust pipe slowly puttering around.

it could be worse is what I'm saying

To the end of road...
Still I can't let go...
It's unnatural...

(Sorry for the earworm...I'll see myself out)

Perhaps the hardware store on Beacon Hill.

They sell clothes line rope.

Got it.

.

If you want to see one.

(mumbles common ethnic descriptor for police trucks ...)

Funny how this guy *must* be disturbing patients. I used to work there and had a relative in stir for some time last fall and this would be the least of the noise in the area. Sirens, trucks, construction, Storrow Drive, etc.

Yeah, I get that he's a pain in the eardrums and tiresome to residents (a local squidsquad does loops of my area's roads at night - ugh), "but the HOSPITAL" bit is specious.

Trucks, construction, and Storrow are not nearly as disruptive as a loud motorcycle. An illegally modified motorcycle exhaust is truly ear-splitting. Sirens can be annoying, especially when the ambulance is stuck in stopped traffic, but they're for a good reason.

...it's a chopper.

You mean the sirens from ambulances that are saving peoples lives? Those are necessary. Some attention whore whose mommy didn't love him enough revving the engine on his obnoxious toy is the opposite of necessary.

You don't hear much of any of it.

When was the last time you spent any time at MGH?

AND the people who live there. They reading the (very short) article.

Also, just because there is other noise doesn't mean this noise isn't disturbing them.

I think they're pretty much like how South Park showed them. I've had two brain surgeries and I can attest that the LAST thing I'd want to hear is some middle aged guy riding his compensation bike for hours. I just wanted to be in the quiet and dark room.

Quality of life must wait until the class struggle is over.

Deep

Who will determine when it is over? And what makes you think it ever will be? And isn't the class struggle ABOUT quality of life?
