Fire in Brighton apartment building

Boston firefighters responded to 9 Jette Ct., off Washington Street, for what turned into a two-alarm fire shortly after 3 p.m.

The fire was declared knocked down about 20 minutes later.

The Boston Fire Department reports no injuries from the fire, which was confined to a single townhouse unit, but says nine people were displaced, some due to water damage in another unit.
