Geese get tired of turkeys getting all the attention for perching on people's roofs

Geese are not uncommon in Jamaica Plain - except maybe on people's roofs, so as she walked her dog this morning, Ally Stoughton couldn't help but look up when she heard some loud goose calls.

Can't remember the last time I saw a Canada goose nest in a tree.

From Cornell Labs: “On the ground, usually on a muskrat mound or other slightly elevated site, near water. They prefer a spot from which they can have a fairly unobstructed view in many directions.”

Ideally it should be Canadian ground, but standards have declined. I blame social media.
