It's hard to get around town when Green Line wires come down
Around 7 p.m., the MBTA announced inbound delays of 20 minutes due to "a train with a power problem at Copley," or what Chen Cao described as "wires down" just inbound from Copley - about 40 minutes after similar delays due to a dead trolley at Arlington.
Or as Cao put it:
No announcements. No shuttles. Station personnel are confused. Faster to walk from Copley to Fenway
Then the T announced bustitution in both directions between Government Center and Hynes.
At 8:38 p.m., the T announced things were back to what passes for normal these days. They then added:
Normal service has resumed and Power Department has made repairs and will be monitoring trains to ensure no more wire and/or power issues arise.
