Boston firefighters responded around 7 p.m. to the 30th floor of Atlantic Wharf, 280 Congress St. for a fire that Live Boston reports started in an electrical box.
The Boston Fire Department reports there were no injuries in the unoccupied commercial tower of the mixed-use complex.
The department adds that elevators serving floors 16 to 31 have been shut because of flooding from water used to fight the fire. Elevators serving floors 2 to 15 remain operational.

Isn't that what standpipes are for? ladders are 10 stories at best, and the report is an issue on the 30th floor. So what - climb up 10 stories and shoot water p the other 20?
Seems like something that should be fought internally - unless ladders go up anyway just in case 'something else' happens...
Good questions!

Ladders are a reassuring sight to the non-commercial residents. Call it fire fighting theater if you like.

I thought that address looked vaguely familiar- I was with Wellington Management there until I received the exciting promotion to unemployment rolls in June… along with a bunch of other “very lucky people”.
