311 complaint of the day: Brighton's flaming intersection of doom

Car on fire after

Photo attached to the complaint of crash aftermath at Lincoln and Portsmouth.

An outraged resident filed a 311 complaint about Lincoln Street following a crash that resulted in one vehicle bursting into flames yesterday at the intersection with Portsmouth Street:

Yet another massive car accident at the Portsmouth-Lincoln intersection. Residents and others on 311 have constantly called and posted about the dangers of this street since the recent changes to a two-way - no signage warnings about the pattern change, no posted speed limits, cars allowed to park right up against curbs that were previously no parking and creating gigantic blind spots for drivers - and there are still no signs or changes being made. The recent changes have made this an impossibly dangerous road at all times of day.

Roving UHub photographer Nate Homan captured the car conflagration from another angle:

Fine, make Lincoln Street two way, but would it kill you to take down the one-way signs?

A T derailment isn't the issue here (wrong photo, gnomes, hammers, etc).

it is also a picture of a flaming disaster.

Correct photo slotted in.

E-gads. That is all plus one magoo for you. Magoo.

It looks like a pretty ordinary intersection of two minor streets, semi-industrial and semi-residential. The lack of buildings on the south side of Lincoln (because it's next to the Pike) may encourage speeding.
