Citizen complaint of the day: One Mission Hill pothole is soooo deep

How deep is the pothole at Leon and Ruggles street? It's so deep one irate citizen filed a 311 complaint that references a late-20th-century philosopher:

Gigantic pothole - can’t miss it! My car certainly didn’t. Please come fix it before I forget about it again and hit it on Thursday. Seriously, you can’t miss it, it’s ON the crosswalk. Deeper than Jack Handy’s thoughts.

Time for UHub Pothole Nostalgia. Cutting through Beacon Hill to avoid traffic. 1986. BAM! Pothole attacked my shitbox Plymouth Reliant. Hub cap flies off into the unknown. Never to be found. Pothole Frisbee, Boston style.

A friend of mine (who also hangs out here) posted something on facebook that looked like a national park brochure cover, only it was a closeup of the potholes on Highland Ave.

Something like "Highland Craters National Monument".
