Mary Ellen spotted a youngish bald eagle (you can tell because his head still isn't completely white) high up in a tree along the Cow Island Pond section of the Charles River on the West Roxbury/Dedham line today.

Ellen's photography is for the birds...
I really do love her bird photos. I've tried doing avian photography before and it takes a lot of patience followed by quick shots. I've never been great at it and have a lot of respect for those who are.
