The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 743 Hyde Park Ave. in Roslindale for a first-floor fire around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday.
The department reports firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to upper floors of the two-family house.
No injuries, but four people were displaced, the department reports.
