Longtime criminal gets 16-18 years for strangling, sexually attacking woman in her Jamaica Plain home
A Suffolk Superior Court judge today sentenced Washington Pearson, 56, of Lynn to 16 to 18 years in state prison following his conviction for breaking into an Arborway home in 2022 and, while armed with a large flathead screwdriver, strangling one of the women who lived there, sexually attacking her, then strangling again before running out with jewelry and other items, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
A Suffolk Superior Court jury on Friday convicted Pearson of armed assault in a dwelling, armed robbery, assault with intent to rape, indecent assault and battery, two counts of strangulation, larceny from a building and armed breaking and entering during the daytime - putting a person in fear.
Pearson has a criminal record that includes 197 entries, including convictions for a series of home burglaries in Cambridge and Brookline in 2012 and 2013.
This morning, Judge Rosemary Connolly sentenced WASHINGTON PEARSON, 56, of Lynn to 16-18 years in state prison.
