Woes on two subway lines made them way slower than Heinz

The day did not start auspiciously on the Red Line, where riders were forced into early morning bustitution between Braintree and JFK/UMass because, the T reports an overnight maintenance vehicle derailed at Wollaston.

Meanwhile, over on the Orange Line, riders faced delays, first due to a recalcitrant switch at Oak Grove and later because of a signal problem at Forest Hills.

Did she go out and muck up the rails today?

(Also, why does the T keep dropping maintenance vehicles off the rails?)

When you absolutely have to live off of your second wife's dead husband's great grandfather's money.

At least Thereza straightened him out because he was bent over a few times walking out of Biba in the early 90's.

There are so many problems on the MBTA that it's incredible. This is unquestionably the result of poor management, and sheer negligence on the part of the MBTA people who've managed and worked for the MBTA. I wish the new manager of the MBTA all the best of luck in fixing the problems, and getting it to run decently.

I'm surprised there wasn't much news coverage Wednesday about the Green Line "medical emergency" at Park St. that resulted in service bring suspended for awhile. I heard from a friend that someone was "dragged" by a Green Line trolley, but I haven't heard anything more about it other than the service suspension announcement from Wednesday morning.

What’s the age cut-off for not understanding the, “slower than Heinz,” reference in this, the squeeze bottle age?

I don’t think there is an age cut off for many common figures of speech.

You don’t have to have had a horse and wagon to get what rein it in means.

Yeah. I wonder. I was thinking it’s been well over a decade- maybe two- since I had to stick a butterknife inna glass bottle a ketchup atta diner, or whack it with the heel of my palm to get it moving. (Radial Swinging it works best)
