Three-alarm fire in South Boston displaces eight

Boston firefighters responded to a fire at 587 East Broadway that spread to a neighboring house and went to three alarms before being brought under control this afternoon.

The Boston Fire Department reports eight residents were displaced but that there were no injuries caused by the fire, reported around 1:50 p.m.
