Our seasons are being reduced to lengthy warm periods with occasional random acts of atmospheric terrorism (-12 last year, 24" in 24 hours in 2022, heat domes, hurricanes, etc.)
I don't mind winter, I grew up in Vermont and skied and skated outdoors, but the lack of snow disruptions is probably good for the economy and for town budgets. Few are really disappointed aside from those on the 7 News StormForce, whose members are desperate for some action.
Or back to the 60s when President Lyndon Johnson was being briefed on it. Or back to the 50s when oil companies talked internally about it. Or back to the 19th century when Victorian scientists pointed out that it was first possible.
It is a GOOD thing that school administrators finally understand that in most families BOTH parents work and need to make arrangements for kid care and altering their workdays when possible.

I know what we can do
Let’s go back to the 1980’s when they warned us about global warming and listen.
We're doomed
If climate change doesn't get us, wars over dwindling natural resources will.
But in the meantime, I'm greatly enjoying the side affect of the new normal winters.
There is no "new normal"

If you grew up in Vermont...
...you know that a snowless winter is not "good for the economy".

I these are global warming storms. It used to snow on my birthday in December as a child and as a teen then it started to wither away.
The French Toast Alert System needs a new category.

Awarded to any FTAS 4 or 5-rated storm that never shows up.
Oh it showed up
New York, the South Coast/Cape, Connecticut and Long Island stole it.

I LOL'd at this. C'mon people, make me jealous to miss a good storm.
Snow Day
How about we go back to the days when they decided to cancel everything the AM of the storm.
How about we don't
