And reports she has yet to get hit by a flying rock, unlike the obviously tougher anchorwoman (toward the end of the segment). Oh, Shelby Scott, where have you gone?

The Better Part of Valor
Discretion is the better part of valor.
It hasn't been yet a couple of months since several people died getting washed off rocks by sneaker waves in high surf, and you are mocking her good sense.
You don't mess with storm surf. You don't stand on sea walls and dare it on camera. She's just being prudent, and I hope her insurers reduce her premiums.

The "live shots" that most tv news directors assign are absolutely inane, the bane of reporters. It really makes for a bad hair day. The information can be reported just as well by a reporter inside, safe and warm.
