Mass. Republicans gain a convert

Kamal Jain, longtime Libertarian, is now a Republican, Red Mass. Group reports. This makes him the third GOPer running for State Auditor, whose job it is to, well, audit state agencies. The incumbent, Joe DeNucci, is stepping down this year.

On the Republican side, you've got Jain, former Turnpike Authority board member Mary Connaughton and forensic accountant Earle Stroll, who so far wins the prize for the most bipolar Web site - looks like he hired a Flash designer who likes moving bars for the intro and a Web 1.0 designer who thinks Web design reached its pinnacle in 1999 for the actual content pages.

On the Democratic side, we have former Worcester state rep and sheriff Guy Glodis and Mike Lake, director of Northeastern University’s World Class Cities Partnership.
