James O'Keefe of ACORN fame arrested for alleged felony wiretapping of Sen Landrieu's office
Ok what the frick is going on?? Didn't Republicans learn anything from the humiliation of Richard Nixon and the plumbers prison sentences for breaking and entering the Watergate Hotel and wire tapping the Democratic National Committee in the Watergate Scandal?
Apparently not. Now we have a conspiracy involving at least four individuals who Monday were arrested wire tapping Sen Landrieu's office in NOLA. James O'Keefe, who gained national notoriety on FoxNews as a pimp activist, had an apparent role as the videographer. His accomplice Robert Flanagan is a former intern for a Republican Congresswoman and son of the US Attorney in the district. How cozy! Pile on top of that Sen. Vitte'rs hold on Obama.'s nominee to replace US Attorney William J. Flanagan and we have ourselves a full blown clusterfu@%.
UPDATE 1/27/09: Republicans keep pointing to a TeaBag protest of Landrieu’s office last month, in particular claims the TeaBaggers made at that time that they couldn’t get through Landrieu’s phones.
Acting U.S. Attorney’s Son Tried to Bug Sen. Mary Landrieu’s Office
MAIN JUSTICE: policy, politics and the law
By Ryan J. Reilly | January 26, 2010
The son of acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana William J. Flanagan was arrested and charged with trying to interfere with phones at Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office in New Orleans.
Robert Flanagan, 24, along with conservative activist James O’Keefe, 25, Joseph Basel, 24, and Stan Dai, 24 were charged with entering federal property under false pretenses for the purposes of committing a felony.
Main Justice has learned that Flanagan worked as an intern for Rep. Mary Fallin (R-Okla.) from January to April of last year. Kathryn Bruns, a press representative for Fallin, said she could only confirm that an intern of the same name worked in the office. She said she could not confirm that it was the same Robert Flanagan who was arrested, and declined to say if she knew whether the intern was from New Orleans or if his father was a federal prosecutor. She declined to comment on the arrest read more
It will be interesting to see if the US Attorney recuses himself, whether Sen David "diaper" Vitter continues to block Obama's US Attorney replacement nominee and whether Vitter's blocking can be tied to the wiretapping crime to demonstrate that the US Attorney knowingly or unknowingly was an accomplice to the conspiracy - four people conspired to wiretap Sen Mary Landrieu (D-LA) office on Federal Property:
Stay tuned.

How dare the law get in the way of hard-hitting journalism? The Heroes of Truth were going to recut and voice over dialogue to give the truest image of what they felt like was really happening. The skullduggery in that office would have been exposed if they had to create it. Now they won't be able to. It's a conspiracy.
But los federales won't shut down the upcoming hard-hitting report on illegal behavior in Oakdale.
journalism or "journalism"
Until O'Keefe releases the uncut original tapes of his Pimp Routine in ACORN offices, I think his activities are more accurately described as "journalism". He and Breitbart being sued by ACORN in civil court. I don't think there are any criminal charges in CA or MD but I'm not sure about that. He does have one federal felony charge as a result of his arrest in NOLA. The feds will start piling on the charges until one of them sings. We'll get press releases along the way.
O'Keefe and two accomplices also arrested were College Republicans. The odd man in that group is the son of the acting US Attorney.
