Dont' you mean Democrat blogger comments on Red Mass Group post? So he doesn't like it? Dog Bites Man.
From Lance's post, I wouldn't have known:
The "Bathroom Bill" is far worse than you think.
It creates a 27 person permanent government commission. "The commission shall be an independent agency of the commonwealth and shall not be subject to the control of any other department or agency." The members are not elected, nor appointed by anyone who is elected. They are appointed by a litany of left-wing special interest groups including Mass Equality and the Massachusetts Teachers Association.
Somehow, Lance managed to leave that part out.
Adam - are you going to post a link every time Blue and Red threads criticize each other?
You look at the [Color] Mass. Groups today? I left out a whole lot of stuff.
As to your point about the stuff Lance left out? Meh. You're concerned about a state commission? Wake me when whatever they come up with actually becomes legislation. I posted on this particular topic because I found it a particularly alarmist issue, one that Lance debunked quite well. Again, we're talking about some commission, not a star chamber that's going to throw women into the slammer when they object to those alleged hordes of gender-bending demonspawn just waiting at the state line to rampage through their restrooms.
NotWhitey makes my point perfectly. Had NotWhitey read the bill, he/she would have noticed that the "27 person permanent government commission" is already state law. MGL Chapter 3, Section 67 reads, in part:
"There shall be a permanent commission on gay and lesbian youth, which shall consist of 27 persons as follows:....The commission shall be an independent agency of the commonwealth and shall not be subject to the control of any other department or agency."
Emphasis added to show that the wording quoted in the RMG post is exactly the same as in the current law.
MGL Chapter 3, Section 67 became law in 2006. Again, the bill adds "bisexual and transgender" to the existing law that created the commission, it does not create the commission.
