Renovations at Copley and Arlington won't be finished until at least 2009

You just knew this was going to happen
Kenmore is still a series of glimmers of hope that quickly fade as leaps of progress turn into months of "Are they even doing anything?"
Seeing the banners at Copley and Arlington forced me to finally get around to resurrecting my transit blog.

Ugh
I saw those cheery posters, too. Were we supposed to feel good about this construction taking years? They aren't doing anything. Maybe they should have held off on the destruction part of the process until they were ready to actually do something.
I think this is a New England Thing
Maybe I have a selective memory about these things but it seems like any sort of repair in NE takes forever. The reason being the workers start and work for a week. Then they stop for 2 years. then they work another week and the job is done. That's what happened with Centre St. in Newton, except it took 4 years to repave! Looks like that is what the T is doing.
that is so ridiculous.
the MBTA, in many areas could use a good renovation. What are the T workers waiting for?
