Trying out the vegetarian food truck by South Station

Fun and Fearless in Beantown gives a thumb's up to the Clover food truck at Dewey Square:

... Clover Food Truck is obviously a big hit with vegetarians and vegans alike (they can make most orders vegan friendly) but as a meat eater, I was also duly impressed. The sandwich was really filling and hit the spot. ...

Breakfast sandwich is a soft boiled egg, cracked and yolky-drippy into a whole wheat pita, with tomato and cheddar. mmm

No breakfast sandwiches for me; I hate runny eggs.

Their food is terrific: amazing fries (punched through a slicer when you order), great sandwiches and salads, superb breakfast pastries (like fresh popovers) and coffee. Would love to see more of these trucks around.

Gotta sneak over there soon.

They've had 50-person lines since day one. I had lunch there yesterday (chick pea sandwich) and now understand why. Even for a non-veggo, the lunch options are different and a lot more interesting than the usual suspects in the neighborhood.

Excuze the typoz. Hard to type around a yummy chickpea pita. I'm an omnivore, but I love this truck.

The good thing about the South Station truck: nearby to my work
The bad thing: A clover run no longer involves a rosemary fry justifying 5 mile round trip bike ride.

They make tasty food, and I'm pleased (if a little surprised) that they've done enough business to survive and even expand from the MIT food truck turf.

If there's a long line, it means that there's Sheep. Sheep will eat anything put in front of them, as we've seen from the Bovine Encephalitis problem a bit ago. I tend to avoid long lines as a result.

Oh no ... will it make me a vegetable?

Actually, the long line at the truck isn't too bad when it crosses the lawn full of picnicking office workers under an open blue sky.

Sheep are wayyyy to mellow to be caffeine addicts. And there are some longass lines at Dunkin Donuts on a daily basis.
