The Globe introduces us to the people running for state treasurer this year:
Democrats Steve Grossman and Steve Murphy and Republican state Representative Karyn Polito are vying for the open treasurer's seat by trying to differentiate themselves based on their financial credentials, investment philosophies, and independence.

Let's pay attention
Me, me, me, me...I care about this race. It could have a huge impact on finances and jobs for years out. I've been blowing the horn for this for months. Bring on the debates!
Bring the debates on all fronts
I want to hear Mac D'Allasandro debate Stephen Lynch et vice versa. If there's one thing the Dem party leadership should do, it's pressure their incumbent to debate in return for financial support.
Lynch has owned that seat since Joe Moakley left it. Has he even debated since he won the first time?
Don't really care
I care but only for other reasons: I want Steve Grossman to win so I stop receiving invites to his fundraisers - it's been like 15 years since he started running for something! And, I want Steve Murphy to win so it opens up a space on the City Council.
