Water main breaks, road sinks, power goes out in South End

Tim Johnson tweets to beware of the area around W. Springfield and Shawmut this morning.

At least one South End resident alerts us that a helicopter has been buzzing the area since 5:30 and that he wishes it would go away already.

Indeed. Do these news stations forget that helicopters make noise??? ugh. I didn't think a water main break in a neighborhood was that newsworthy...

. . . on Newbury last week? Between this, Newbury, and the big break some months back- someone without any intimate knowledge of the city's water/sewer system might suspect that there are some systemic problems going on.
