Tobin jumper fails, survives

Boston Police tweet a man succeeded in jumping off the Tobin Bridge around noon today. AlertNewEngland tweets State Police managed to get him out of the water alive.

Word needs to get around that
Word needs to get around that people survive that jump. First your life sucks, then you the last thing you think you're going to see in life is the ass-ugly Tobin bridge area, then you're still alive but crippled, then you're tied down in a psychiatric hospital.
Wise up
People need to get with it and aim for the land. You are far less likely to survive. Or they could save us the mess and call the Samaritans number on the signs on the bridge.

Let me start off by stating,not only is the title of this article degrading,but sickening and completely ignorant.This person clearly has had some sort of psychiatric problem,and for it to state "Tobin Bridge Jumper FAILS,SURVIVES." Is pathetic. Before I go any further I will correct you, "Tobin Bridge Jumper MIRACLE,SURVIVES."
Now, to some of the comments that were stated in regards to this article.
To JOHN W."Aim for the Land?" Really? Let me ask you a question.If you had a friend or a family member that was having such a dilemma in their life that would so much as attempt to succumb their life off of a bridge, would you truly encourage them to ''aim for the land'' or did you just state that because you don't know this person? Perhaps YOU should WISE UP..
TO "A MESSY CLEAN UP." Were you there to see what this incident was like? or,Have you even ever seen such an incident where another HUMAN BEING had to be pulled from the water after jumping off of a bridge? I'm guessing no. I doubt anyone here knows how or in fact if this incident was even "Messy."
TO "COME ON PEOPLE." For you, I do not need to say much because you clearly do not take your own life serious let alone being serious of another individuals life. Relating this topic to a loss of a SPORTS TEAM was highly immature and lacked any sort of intelligence and integrity.
I would like to end this with my words on the topic.I personally, hope that this victim gets the help that he needs and pulls through. I would like to also say that I hope that the victim,his family and the rescuers that responded to this all get better in an emotional sense. My heart goes out to all of those that were affected by this!
